Japanese Trapdoor Snails are a peaceful and beneficial snail for aquariums and ponds. They are very active and are proactive algae eaters. They do a great job of cleaning algae and decaying matter in your aquarium or pond.

One of the primary reasons Japanese Trapdoor Snails have become popular in the pond industry, is because they are able to survive most over-wintering of ponds in harsher northern regions.

Japanese Trapdoor Snails are live bearing snails and do not reproduce at a high rate, keeping your aquarium clear of egg sacs while also not over populating your tank.
