Brown Crayfish are great scavengers that are hardy in many water conditions, including cold water making them great additions to ponds.They require lots of places to hide, like caves and rock formations. Male Crayfish are generally brighter in color with larger front claws while the females are more subtle in color with smaller claws. They will scavenge for food, we supplement the with our Pelleted Diet as well as occasionally feed them frozen foods like Bloodworms.

                 

They can grow to 5"+ and generally get along with most aquarium fish, however they may catch and eat some slower moving fish. Crayfish can be territorial and aggressive with their own species, so it is recommended to keep one per 20 gallons with adequate decor for hiding. Easy to breed in captivity and great cleanup crew!
